onboarding experiences.
- Account Security Information: Email verification status for accounts created with
email/password authentication.
- Subscription Information: Subscription status, tier (Basic/Pro Filter/AI Power), start date,
trial usage status, trial start/end dates, feature usage counters (AI bullet analysis, generated
bullets, professional summaries, resume analysis, tracked job analysis), and Stripe customer and
subscription IDs for billing purposes.
- Usage Data: Information related to your interactions with our services, including login
source (web application or browser extension), to improve functionality and user experience.
- Scan Activity: When you scan for reposted jobs using our extension, we save which
reposted jobs were detected during your session. This includes job title, company name, reposted date,
and timestamp. This helps us improve detection accuracy and understand user engagement.
2.1 Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve HideJobs. These may include:
- Essential Cookies: Required for login and security.
- Analytics Cookies: (Google Analytics) These cookies help us analyze user behavior.
Users in the EU, Canada, and Brazil must explicitly opt in via the cookie banner before tracking
is enabled.
Users outside these regions are automatically opted in but can disable tracking anytime from
Account Settings.
- Preference Cookies: Stores user preferences such as filters and hidden jobs.

Account Settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used in the following ways:
- Account Authentication: To securely log you into our platform using LinkedIn, Google,
or email/password authentication.
- Personalization: To provide personalized content and account management features based
on your profile information.
- Subscription Management: To manage your subscriptions and process payments via Stripe.
- Trial Management: To track trial periods and prevent abuse, including managing 7-day
Pro Filter trials and ensuring one trial per user.
- Communication: To notify you of changes to your account, subscription status, or terms
of service.
- Feature Analytics: To track usage of the reposted job scanning feature and understand
which companies frequently repost jobs, helping us improve product insights and transparency.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We only share your data with third parties as outlined below:
- LinkedIn: We use LinkedIn for authentication purposes, in compliance with LinkedIn's
data usage policies.
- Google/Firebase: Account data is stored and processed through Google Firebase services
for authentication, database storage, and account management in compliance with Google's data processing
agreements.
- Stripe: Your subscription and payment information is shared with Stripe to process and
manage payments securely.
- Aggregated Insights: We may use anonymized and aggregated scan data to display trends
(e.g., most reposted companies) to other users, without exposing any personal data.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4.1 CCPA Compliance (California Users)
Under the CCPA, you have the right to request that we do not sell or share your personal information.
While HideJobs **does not sell user data**, you may still opt out of data sharing by clicking here.

access restricted to authorized personnel only. User authentication is handled through Firebase
Authentication.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:
- Account and subscription data: Retained as long as you use HideJobs.
- Usage data: Deleted automatically after 12 months unless needed for security purposes.
- Inactive accounts: Deleted after 24 months of inactivity.
If you delete your account, your data will be removed within 30 days, except where legally required.

We may periodically update how we store your data to improve service functionality. During these updates,
your existing data is migrated to new formats while preserving your preferences and usage history.
